Red Boy; Acadia Black Buddy Bruno; "Bruno" lives in Torrington, CT with Peter & Gloria Ledda & their 3 active boys. 2017: Bruno loves the snow and will stay out on his bed until he can't take the cold any more. He is very healthy; loves going on vacation with the family. "All in all Bruno is the best!' March 12, 2018: Sadly Bruno passed away 2 days before his 10th birthday from a cancerous mass. Needless to say the Ledda's are devastated - he was so much of their lives and was like a brother to the 3 boys.

Green Boy; Acadia Blue Running River; "Scout" lives in Newburyport, MA with Rachael & Corey Scrupps & their little boy. Scout spends a lot of time in the ocean since they live within walking distance of the water. We visited Scout & his family in April, 2010 when in the area on a business/pleasure trip with Jet. It was fun to see the 2 brothers playing together. March, 2013 - Rachael wrote that Scout is "living large - 5+mile runs, lots of tennis balls & a new "girlfriend" next door - a 4 year old black lab." August, 2015: Scout is doing very well. He now has 2 little human brothers. 2017: Like Bruno Scout loves the snow too. He'll dive into snow banks when he is out for a walk. 2019: Rachael tell us that Scout is still doing well. A few signs of age but he isn't slowing down too much. March 25, 2021: The last pup from the Rainbow Litter passed away today due to old age. He crossed the Rainbow bridge with a little help in the arms of his family in his favorite spot. He was the role model for any new dog coming into his daycare where he ruled the place with his best friend Eric. The owner says " I have not met another dog like Scout in temperate or breed. He was and still will remain one of a kind."

Purple Girl; Acadia's Rainbow Grayce; "Grayce" lives in Rochester, NY with Cheryl Lake & Jim Phelan. We see her sometimes for doggie play dates since our daughter works with both Cheryl & Jim. Cheryl reports that Grayce's favorite things to do are play with her dog friends, swim & run. Her temperament is just great, she's very affectionate & social. Grayce carries sticks on her walks in the neighborhood which always makes people smile. February 9, 2019: Cheryl and Jim said good bye to Grayce today. She lived a very active life and it caught up with her. She suffered osteoarthritis for the past year that was helped with meds but they and their vet decided that she was in too much pain to go on. She will be missed - Cheryl and Jim have gone through some tough losses over the past 10 years and she has always been there to help them feel better.

Blue Boy; Acadia's Otto the Orange CGC TDI; "Otto" lives with our daughter in Rochester, NY. Becky is a children's therapist & has gone through the training with Otto to certify him as a therapy dog. He goes to work with her several days a week & the kids love him. Of course, we see him often & it's always fun to see him with his mom & brother, Jet. March, 2013 - He now has a little brother, Bixler, who came to the family with Becky's new husband, Scot. In Feb., 2013 Becky & Scot adopted Otto's little sister, Gems, from the Summer litter. She was returned to us & they offered to foster her until we found a permanent home but she fit in so well they decided to keep her. January, 2015: Otto has a new job. On Christmas Eve morning, 2014, our newest granddaughter arrived. Otto is very calm around her and will lay next to her watching while she has Tummy Time. 2016: Otto is now semi-retired from therapy work since our daughter has taken a new position and not working directly with children. Instead Otto spends his time keeping a watchful eye on little Winter. One of her first words was "doggie" and she loves her Otto! 2017: Otto is back to work, spending 2 or 3 days a week at Hillside with Becky. He isn't slowing down at all and is always happy to see us. March, 2019: Otto continues to do well and is fully retired from therapy work as Becky is now in a supervisory position. He loves his sibs, 2 and 4 legged, and now has a bunny to watch over. August 27, 2019: We lost Otto to a very fast developing osteosarcoma 17 days after his sister Gems crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Scot & Becky's house is very quiet now.

Yellow Girl; Acadia Sierra Blu; 'Sierra" lives with Richard Harmon in Springfield, PA. Rich asked for a puppy with attitude & he reports that she still has it. She even talks back when corrected. Like her brother Scout she too lives near the ocean & loves to swim. 2014: Sierra Blu continues to do well. Her favorite place is the outdoors. 2015: Rich says Sierra Blu is happiest and friendliest dog he has ever owned. She is still doing well and will be moving to Florida in June. She will enjoy the good weather and the chance to swim even in the winter. 2016: Sierra is living the good life in sunny Florida. She swims in the gulf and takes long walks on the beach. 2017: Sierra Blu is doing well although she is slowing down a bit except when it is time to run on the beach. She maintains her entertaining attitude and is still a sweet, loving dog. December, 2017: The first puppy from the Rainbow litter passed away on December 22nd from osteosarcoma that started in her pelvis and then spread to her lungs & throat. Rich tells us that Sierra Blu developed a painful limp in her right hind leg in Nov. that did not respond to pain medication which led to the diagnosis."She spent her last days eating her favorite thing, people food" Needless to say Rich & John are heart broken. RIP our feisty Yellow Girl.
