The "Cosmic" Litter
Born January 31, 2013
These pups are out of this world!

Emma's last litter was sired by our boy, Jet. It was a very difficult whelping for Emma, starting at 4:30 in the afternoon & ending with the last puppy born at 6:45 the next morning. Two puppies were born on February 1st. By the time we were done there were 9 beautiful black puppies - 2 boys and 7 girls. Needless to say we were all very tired by the time we took care of everybody - Emma had us up at 3:00 AM the previous morning when she started panting & pacing. Jet has never paid much attention to Emma's other litters but has been very attentive with these. And Grandma Tara spends a lot of time checking them out, too.

The rest of the bunch cuddled together - 2 weeks old.
Picture
At 3 weeks the puppies are beginning to interact with each other. One of their favorite games is "Chewy Face". They also spend a lot of time wrestling.
Picture
After everyone went to sleep Teal Girl wanted to keep on playing so she sat in the middle of the box & barked!
Picture
Our granddaughters are doing a great job helping us to socialize the puppies!
Picture
Playtime!
Picture
At 3 1/2 weeks the pups were introduced to their first food. They all did well, often someone needs a little help figuring out how to eat but everyone dove right in (literally!).
Picture
The pups have discovered that they can stand on their hind legs & peek over the top of the door. The door has been raised twice already after we had 2 escapees.

Picture
Does this look comfortable? Purple Girl didn't seem to mind.
Picture
When the pups were 5 weeks old we introduced them to a pheasant wing. Several, including Blue Boy, immediately picked it up & carried it around the box.
Picture
Emma & the pups at 5 weeks.
Picture
The pups like to pull on each others' tails & apparently Jasmine's, too.
Picture
Puppy love.
Picture
Stella was our last pup to leave, almost 2 days after the rest. It was nice to have one puppy to enjoy playing with for a little while. She spent most of the time out of the box playing with the big kids & exploring.

Picture
Ella at 6 months. She is doing well, although going through the "naughty" phase, testing her limits & her people! Becky says "She's a doll - very sweet disposition & really seems to "smile" when she looks at you."
Picture
Feb. 2014 - Ella had a great first birthday. "We just lover her to pieces." Like her mother, Ella is a shadow, following the family everywhere.
Picture
January 2015: Cinderella is doing well -"she LOVES to play -and then flops down at our feet - always touching one of us."
Picture
February, 2017: Ella is doing well - she goes all day until she gets tired and then puts herself to bed. She definitely loves the snow!
Picture
January 2019: Ella is still her active, happy self enjoying life with her 7 year old Golden and 15 year old kitty housemates along with her humans. She loves riding in the car and going anywhere the family does.
Picture
February 2021: Ella is doing well - still acts like a 2 year old. Like a lot of people Becky & Bill have been working at home since last March with no complaints from Ella or Callie their Golden. Sadly in the fall they lost their 16 year old Maine coon cat who was Ella's buddy. They are hoping to add another Kitty sometime this year.
Picture
Yellow Girl 2 days old
Picture
January 2016: Becky tells us that Ella is the picture of health and athleticism. Ella is smart, sweet and endearing.
Picture
January 2018: Like Emma, Ella is still as lively as ever, always close by and ready to go any where with the family. She loves a good run and is all muscle. Becky commented how much she looks like Emma.
Picture
January 2020: Ella is such a snow bunny! She enjoys the snow and playing with her new birthday frisbee. Becky tell us that Ella is healthy, full of pep and very happy.
Picture
February 2022: Another Ella in the snow picture - she sure loves it! She is a total love! Besides her Golden sister she now has a new cat sibling who thinks that Ella's tail is a cat toy which she doesn't mind. Sounds so much like Emma who loved our cats - she and Sassy would wash each other's faces. Becky and Bill are still working from home with no complaints from the dogs who get a walk to the park at the end of the day.

Picture
Feb. 2014 - Bella Luna has 2 speeds - full speed & sleep. Her favorite things are taking walks & exploring the farm road near her house & the fields around the Kogut's rural home. She also likes to relocate things & they think she has a secret hiding place where she keeps them. Like Emma & Ella she also follows her humans around the house.
Picture
February 2016: Bella is doing great. In November 2015 she easily earned her CGC. She enjoys time at the farm in Fabius running and playing with her sister.
Picture
January 2019: Barry tells us "Bella is a big girl now but still steals Kathy's slippers." Of course Flat-C0ats never completely grow up!
Picture
March 2015: It's been a rough winter in upstate NY, especially in Syracuse where February was the coldest one on record and the snow just keeps coming. Bella is enjoying getting out when she can but is getting tired of being cooped up. We're all looking forward to spring in NY, even the dogs!
Picture
On January 8, 2017 Bella earned her Rally Novice title! She is now Acadia's Bella Luna CGC RN.
Picture
October 11, 2019: Sweet Bella crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. She had survived a lot starting with knee surgery when she was just a pup, then losing the sight in one eye from glaucoma. A few weeks ago she started limping on the leg where she had the surgery and it was discovered that she had developed osteosarcoma in the leg. Bella went through all with a constantly wagging tail and a positive outlook.

Red Boy - Acadia's Fly Me To The Moon "Colbie" - went home to Mayfield Heights, OH with Melissa Supler. Like the Millers she had recently lost her beloved Maximus, also from the TLC Starlight litter. Hopefully Colbie will help to fill the void in her heart.
Picture
Colbie & his 2 year old human cousin Bella on Easter Sunday. He discovered taking eggs from Bella's basket was much easier than hunting for them himself. He also quickly learned that Bella would give him treats!
Picture
Feb. 2014 - Colbie's 8 human cousins & Mom threw him a party on his first birthday. He continues to do well with his training & will soon take both his CGC & IPT tests. He's having fun in the snow making snow angels, tracking deer & coyotes & chasing his mom. Colbie is also becoming quite the chipmunk hunter. February 2018: Colbie is still the king of the house and Melissa's faithful companion. The love to run together and they recently completed a 4 mile race where Colbie ran an 8 minute mile (faster than many humans!). He loves life!
Picture
In June Colbie wrote that he is enjoying time at day camp with his friends one day a week. He & Melissa also attend class at the same facility to prepare him for his IPT certification.
Picture
January 2019: Melissa tells us that Colbie is as great as ever and the love of her life. He's a great running partner, keeps her on pace. Colbie loves to play in the snow. He looks so much like Daddy Jet especially in this position.

March 7, 2022: Melissa said goodbye to Colbie this morning. Just 2 weeks after his birthday she learned that he had a mass on his spleen. The spleen was removed and he was doing well until yesterday. Colbie was her heart dog and she is devastated and lonely. Luckily we found a breeder who has a litter due soon so she will have a new puppy to love and help her heal. Ironically Melissa called us to tell us about Colbie's surgery the same day that we found out that Jet had a tumor in his heart. Colbie passed on exactly a week after his dad.
Picture
On his birthday Colbie was visited by his new 8 week old cousin Mikey. Melissa tells us that he was very good with him.

Green Girl - "Acadia's Cosmic Raven Star "Stella" - is the other puppy that lives close by in Painted Post, NY with Cheryl Capps & her fiance Brian. Cheryl has agreed to let us show Stella in conformation.
Picture
Stella & her toys.
Picture
Dec. 2014 - Stella helped to decorate the tree. After watching Cheryl trim the tree she disappeared, came back with her sock monkey & very gently laid it on a branch, pushing it with her nose until it would stay. She was so proud of herself - you can see her tail wagging!
Picture
At 4 months old Stella spent a week with us while Brian & Cheryl were on vacation. We took the family for a walk on Market St. in Corning with a stop at the fountain.
Picture
Feb. 2014 - Like her sister, LadyBug, Stella is very good at figuring things out. Ever since she was a puppy she has been doing puzzles. She received a Level 5 puzzle for her birthday which she solved within 6 minutes. Cheryl says she "overthinks" - the frog she got for her birthday croaks instead of squeaks & she is very perplexed at this change. Stella has been attending handling classes with us & will be entered in a match in mid March. She will attend her first big show at Syracuse at the end of March.
Picture
July, 2015 - Stella spent 4th of July weekend at Lake Placid in the Adirondacks. She climbed to the summit of Ampersand Mt. and also tried stand up paddle board yoga. She was very proud of her climb but didn't enjoy the paddle board because she had to stand motionless which is not her thing!
Picture
February 2021: All is well with Stella. She loves spending time with Brian along the Cohocton River close to their home. She runs around, splashes in the rocks and swims out to the beaver dam to check on her friends. She always listens to her dad just in case there might be a treat involved.
Picture
February 2022: Stella has become a beach girl and enjoys it and her ball. After 9 years Cheryl & Brian still have not managed to avoid the "inevitable and frequent collision between her tail and a wine glass!"
